April 15, 2026, Chișinău – Innovation in clean technologies from the Republic of Moldova was brought to the international stage during Cleantech Days 2026—one of the most important global events dedicated to sustainable solutions—held on April 7–10 in Vienna, Austria, under the auspices of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The Republic of Moldova was represented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy, as the implementing entity of the GCIP Moldova project, alongside the winning startups of the national Pitch Day competition: EcoFabrica, Florado, and Hemp Build Solutions.

The forum aimed to facilitate the promotion of clean technologies, foster partnerships, and enable the exchange of experience. The event took place in parallel with the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum 2026, providing an extended platform for dialogue on sustainable energy, green industrialization, and climate action.

At the same time, Cleantech Days 2026 served as a platform to showcase innovative solutions developed by entrepreneurs within the GCIP Moldova accelerator, offering them opportunities for presentation, engagement with potential partners and investors, as well as networking and capacity building.

The forum included specialized training sessions dedicated to GCIP implementing entities, addressing technical, administrative, financial, legal, and organizational aspects. These sessions contributed to strengthening institutional capacities and facilitating the exchange of best practices among participating countries.

The event agenda covered key topics for the development of the cleantech ecosystem, including the application of artificial intelligence in industry, startup scaling, strengthening industrial value chains, mobilizing capital for clean technologies, and leveraging communication and storytelling tools for growth.

Additionally, GCIP Moldova startups took part in the international pitching competition, alongside approximately 20 teams from participating countries.
